It is already clear that France, Hungary and Montenegro will await the Lithuanians in the second round of selection.

And for the Czechs, the match is even more important, as they have not yet secured a ticket to the second qualifying round. They need a victory in Klaipėda or wait for a favorable result of the Bosnian-Bulgarian match.

Vytenis Čižauskas and Benas Griciūnas will not help Lithuania in tonight’s match by the coaches’ decision.

After playing just 80 sec. in the second half, K. Maksvytis asked for a minute break, because the picture on the field did not change – the Czechs continued to run away from the Lithuanians who were stuck in attack (29:15).

In the second half of the quarter, the Czechs sprinted and broke away – after T. Kyzlinka’s two-pointer, the teams were already separated by a double-digit number of points (20:10).

Our attack was set off by L. Birutis’ “floater” and T. Sedekerskis’ three-pointer, but the Czechs also had something to answer – T. Satoransky nailed a long shot and the visitors remained ahead 7:5.

At the beginning of the match, it was difficult for both national teams to collect points – the Lithuanians did not collect them for three minutes, and the Czechs were the first to break the drought – 2:0.
