It is still uncertain what Apple with the current non-paying Apple TV+ subscribers are going to do. When the one-year free trial ends, the hour of truth has come: it becomes clear whether people are really willing to pay for Apple’s streaming TV service. If you are disappointed that you may no longer be able to watch, then there is good news. According to Bloomberg, Apple is brainstorming how to attract new Apple TV + subscribers. One of the options is to extend the free trial period this fall for people who buy new hardware.
Apple TV+ is 1 year free if you bought one last fall new iPhone 11, Apple TV or other product. This way people could get acquainted without having to become a member of yet another streaming service. Around the introduction of the iPhone 12 however, that trial period will expire. According to Bloomberg, Apple will relist the deal, but for a shorter period. It could also be limited to first-time viewing.
New documentaries in the fall
But what can you watch? Apple has purchased three new documentary series, which can be streamed from this fall. Tiny World can be seen from October 2 and consists of 6 episodes. You view the world through the eyes of the smallest animals. That way you learn what they do to survive. A completely new camera technology is used for it.
From November 13 you can watch ‘Becoming You’, in which children experience the first 2,000 days of their lives. More than 100 children can be seen, from all over the world: from Nepal to Japan and Borneo. You will discover how children learn to think, speak and move, from the moment they are born until they are five years old. There are 6 episodes waiting for you.
On December 4, ‘Earth at Night in Color’ will be released with Tom Hiddleston as the commentary. Here you can see how animals live at night and here too advanced camera technology has been used. This way you get to see behavior that you normally do not know about. The six episodes were filmed on six continents, from the Arctic Circle to the African savannas.
