watch a snowstorm blanket New York from the top of One World Trade Center

A white cloud over the city. On Wednesday, December 18, a snowstorm covered New York with a thin layer of snow, as shown in these images shot from the top of One World Trade Center in Manhattan. About an inch of snow has been reported in Central Park, according to the National Weather Service. Other regions of the northeastern United States have been much more affected by this snowfall.

In Plainville, Connecticut, the highway has become impassable due to lack of visibility. In Pennsylvania, a giant motor vehicle accident, involving about 20 vehicles, killed one person and injured 40 others. In New York, a cyclist also died after slipping on a patch of ice and being hit by a school bus, local police said.
