On Sunday, June 28, in the afternoon, a thunderstorm is expected in some districts of Latvia, as well as possible rainfall and hail, LETA informed the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center.
The center explained that a thunderstorm is expected in the western part of Latvia in the coming hours.
Also, in some districts in Latvia, not only thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon, but severe wind gusts, rain and hail are possible.
As reported, it will rain temporarily in many places in Latvia today, but the heat will still remain. Due to the long-lasting heat in the capital, an orange warning has been issued. This means that heat exposes the general public to an increased risk of health problems, especially the elderly and infants.
Citizens must follow and follow the instructions given by the responsible authorities.
