There may be restrictions due to a one-day warning strike in the hospitals of the municipal clinic company Gesundheit Nord (Geno). However, the Verdi union has only called on employees of Geno’s subsidiary Gesundheit Nord Services gGmbH (GND) to strike.
How big the impact of the strike will be is still unclear. According to Verdi, there may be restrictions, for example, in the cleaning of operating rooms and laboratories as well as in the laundry. However, medical emergencies should be treated in any case.
Verdi not only wants more money, but also wants to ensure that the GND is reintegrated into the public service tariff in the long term.
