VideoTILBURG – When a person was arrested on Saturday evening in the Hoflaan in Tilburg, the police fired a warning shot.

The police received a report around 7 p.m. that someone might have been shot in Hoflaan. On the spot, officers fired a warning shot and arrested a suspect in connection with the possible shooting incident.

An arrest team entered a residence, but it is not known whether this was before or after the arrest. A police spokesperson is not yet able to say whether the arrested suspect is a man or woman.

The spokesperson said that the police were investigating on the spot whether there was actually shooting. More arrests have not been ruled out, the spokesman said. The Hoflaan was partly cordoned off with police tape.
