Warning on the Risk of Flooding in Chongqing Municipal Rivers: July 2023 Update

The Chongqing Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau and the Chongqing Municipal Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a warning on the risk of flooding of small and medium-sized rivers at 17:00 on July 5, 2023:

It is estimated that from 02:00 on July 6 to 08:00 on July 08, some small and medium-sized rivers in 23 districts and counties are at risk of flooding. Relevant districts and counties are requested to strengthen their on-duty duty, pay close attention to changes in water and rain conditions, and pay attention to preventive work.

High risk:Kaizhou District, Yunyang County, Fengjie County, Wuxi County.

Higher risk:Banan District, Jiangjin District, Qijiang District, Wansheng Economic Development Zone, Nanchuan District, Dianjiang County, Fuling District, Zhongxian County, Liangping District, Wanzhou District, Wulong District.

There are certain risks:Changshou District, Fengdu County, Chengkou County, Wushan County, Pengshui County, Shizhu County, Qianjiang District, Youyang County.

Description of risk classification:

Blue, there is a certain risk, indicating that the increase is 1~3m and does not exceed the warning level;

Yellow, higher risk, means the increase is 3-5m and does not exceed the warning level;

Orange, high risk, indicating a rise of 5-8m or exceeding the warning level;

Red, very high risk, indicating that the increase is more than 8m or exceeds the guaranteed water level.
