As the police Dresden on DAY24– Demand confirmed, there are currently four warehouses burning on Rudolf-Breitscheid-Strasse in Heidenau.

Another hall is also affected by the violent fire, it is said. To what extent, however, is unclear.

No injured persons have been reported at the moment, the Dresden police said.

Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße is still closed (as of 8.40 a.m.). Train traffic on the nearby S-Bahn line was also discontinued.

According to initial information, a total of 80 volunteers from the volunteer fire department are on site.

Up to now, no information could be given on the damage amount, since it is not known which companies own the halls and what was stored there.

The smoke development from the fire is said to have been so strong that there were even obstructions in Dresden, just 13 kilometers away.
