Who is Jean-Luc Crucke (MR)?
Crucke is a Walloon politician with the French-speaking liberal party MR. He took his first steps in the local politics of Frasnes-lez-Anvaing in the late 1980s, close to the language border near Ronse, where he also becomes mayor.
Jean-Luc Crucke has a seat in both the federal and the Walloon parliament. From 2017 to 2019, he was Minister of Budget, Energy, Climate and Airports in the Borsus government. From 2019, he is again a minister and again takes over the portfolio of Budget. Crucke speaks Dutch and can often be heard in Flemish media.
