Walloon allowances for the self-employed and companies soon

The Walloon Government announced a few days ago the creation of an exceptional aid fund of 233 million euros. It is intended for the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises with less than 50 workers who have been forced to stop their activity due to the confinement rules in force. There are around 55,000 in Wallonia, players in the Horeca, retail and tourism sectors, hairdressers, fairgrounds, driving schools, coach operators and car wash to name the main areas of activity.

The regional executive has now detailed the practical arrangements that will allow them to receive a tax-free lump sum of 5,000 euros. It is a simple procedure, online, via a new administration platform.Aid Covid-19 to companies.

After the usage checks, the first payments will be made quickly, starting in April, promises the Walloon government. Details can also be obtained on the site 1890.be or by dialing 1890, the business information number.
