Wall Street Soars as Major US Stock Indexes Close in Advanced Region

Major US stock indexes closed down advanced region the last session of the week.

The Dow Jones recorded an increase of 0.4% to 38,240 points, and the S&P500 recorded an increase of 1.02% to 5,100 points. Better performance for the Nasdaq (+2.03% at 15,928 points).

Definitely an auspicious day for the Alphabet (+9.91% to 173.6 dollars), after releasing the financial results for the 1st quarter of 2024, which closed with revenue and earnings per share well above consensus.

Wall Street also appreciated SNAP’s quarterly report (+27.6% to 14.55 dollars). The social network ended the first quarter of 2024 with earnings per share of $0.03, better than the $0.05 loss expected by analysts.

In contrast, Intel’s quarterly report fell short of expectations (-9.2% To $31.88). The chip giant closed the first three months of 2024 with revenue below analyst consensus. The indicators for this season did not boost the market either.
