What can you expect today?

  • Tonight it will become clear whether Forum for Democracy will continue with or without Thierry Baudet as political leader. The members of the party have been online since last night cast their vote. The digital ballot box closes at 6 p.m., and the results will follow a few hours later.
  • The court in Breda gives judgment in the so-called fire murder case. The case revolves around the murder of a 49-year-old garage owner more than a year and a half ago. Crown witness Nabil B.’s two lawyers are on a death list. According to The Telegraph they have been told by the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security. Nabil B. is a key witness in the liquidation proceedings against Ridouan Taghi.

Last year, Derk Wiersum, the first attorney for the crown witness, was shot dead. Crime reporter Peter R. de Vries, who assists Nabil B. as a confidant, would now also be in serious danger. The lawyers say they are continuing their work, but do criticize the NCTV for being only generally informed and not getting further details.
