Sharjah, October 13 / WAM / The Sharjah Sports Council announced the opening of registration to participate in the Wadi Al Hilo Running Race, which the Council is organizing on October 22 in front of the archaeological site of the historic Wadi Al Hilo Castle, as part of its plan for community sports activities and events that motivate different ages, groups and nationalities to Exercise and make it a lifestyle.
The event is held in cooperation and coordination with a number of institutions and entities, and includes races for three distances: 10 km, 5 km, and 1.5 km for male and female citizens and the general public, and 200 athletes of both sexes are expected to participate.
Yasser Omar Al Dokhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department at the Council, said that the event dedicates the culture of sports as a way of life for all the people of the emirate and a way of life for all members of society, explaining that the 10 km race will start at 6:25 am, and with an interval of five minutes, the 5 km race will start, then race 1 5 km at 6:33 am, and the first place winners in the various categories will be crowned at 7:48 am.
