Professionally, the past year was busier than ever for VRT journalist Fatma Taspinar (38). In addition to the late news, she now also presents the most watched newscasts from 7 p.m., while in between she reported on the search for Jürgen Conings and the trial for the murder of Sofie Muylle. “But this year I also realized that I need to invest more in my life outside of work,” she says. “I’ve lost a good friend, I haven’t even gotten around to mourning yet.”
