Singer Blakkayo was at the top of his game this Friday, December 17 at the J & J Auditorium in Phoenix, where the virtual concert organized by Radio Plus took place with the support of partners Lipton Ice Tea, Pepsi, MyT, Shapes and Ichos Production Ltd.

Sanitary restrictions oblige, Radio Plus has decided, in this festive period, to offer a series of virtual concerts to Mauritians. The kickoff was given by Brandon and Ton Simon at 8:30 p.m.
Blakkayo gives the la. The choristers are dressed in beautiful African outfits. The energy of the showman is communicative. After a few songs, it’s the turn of “Zafer la zoli”, sung in duet with Tian Corentin on his album, which resonates.
“I would like to thank Radio Plus for offering me this opportunity and giving the artists the chance to be on stage during this period. It’s not easy for us to get our heads out of the water, ”says Blakkayo. He also thanks Ichos Production and Jorez Box before continuing with “Oh Lord”, the first track from his double album.
Through his songs, Blakkayo passes messages to the Mauritian youth. As he sings “Ayo”, he stops and alludes to the drugs that ravage young people. “Children should not fall when ‘enn move por’. I ask parents to give them the necessary attention and listen to them because they are the future of tomorrow, ”he emphasizes.
This virtual concert has been followed around the world. Brandon and Ton Simon recalled that “Solo” is one of the songs selected for the 2022 Disc of the Year on Radio Plus in the local category. “I encourage my fans to vote for me because it is their strength that gives me the courage to continue my fight. The song “Solo”, much requested by fans, sounds after thirty minutes of concert.
The second part of the concert is devoted to Blakkayo’s old hits, notably “Lapparans”, one of his cult songs, but also “Met li down” or “Enn appeal for help – Ti man”, “Rent lor terrin”. “When this black cloud is gone, we will meet again and life will return to normal”, concludes the artist on a medley.

On December 24, Radio Plus will meet you again on www.defimedia.info and Téléplus, at 8:30 p.m. with the artist who is no longer presented: Mr Love.
He will perform songs from his 10th album, “Dixmensyon lamour”, released on December 1, as well as his most popular songs. The artist, Ludovic Lamarque in civil status, returns to the stage after almost a year.
