“Virginia Raggi told us that she will race again to become the Mayor of Rome”, wrote the M5s Regional Councilor Paolo Ferrara on Facebook. “He told us that he is not going to set the table for the former to eat. ‘I am convinced that we must go on,’ she added. Her words are true”, concluded Ferrara.
Rays, however, now need the support of activists: the re-nomination, as required by the statute of the M5S, must be put to the vote on Rousseau. To be able to run again with the pentastellato symbol, the tenant of Palazzo Senatorio must obtain the derogation from the limit of the two terms. Before being elected mayor, Virginia Raggi has in fact occupied the seats of the opposition during the Marino era. In any case, net of the rules of the Movement, the endorsements obtained in recent weeks are supporting the first citizen: from political leader Vito Crimi to Alessandro Di Battista, the big 5S have already lined up. And there would also be the green light from Beppe Grillo, with whom Raggi has heard several times in the last few days.
Now we await the moves of the opponents, still looking for the right name to propose for the next municipalities.-
