This couple from different countries from Sunda and Africa stole the attention of netizens. The two often share activities together on Youtube and Instagram.
Both have a Youtube account named Kiel Rahayu O’. They are Rumdini Rahayu and Ezekiel or commonly called Kiel, an Indonesian-African couple whose story stole the attention.
Rahayu admitted that she had been bullied about her appearance during pregnancy and after giving birth. Her story went viral because of the kind response of Kiel’s husband.

“Seriously, yes, accept it or not, keep thinking. For example, there are hate comments about body shamming. Honestly, I am annoyed and annoyed. You can meet in person, the standard of beauty in Indonesia must be slim and white. Whereas in Africa, accept it, what can you do, be patient and accept it only,” he said.
In another YouTube video on their channel, Rahayu reveals her husband’s reaction when he found out that his wife was being bullied because of her physical appearance. Kiel gave a baperful answer.
“My husband even said ‘I won’t (leave), lah. I’ve seen the video (which contains malicious comments)’,” said Rahayu.
Rahayu added that in his daily life Kiel prefers himself to appear as he is. He didn’t like seeing Rahayu wearing heavy makeup.
“My husband doesn’t even like seeing me make-up. In fact, he wants to go out too, he doesn’t like my make-up, (he wants) to be normal.” he concluded.
Wolipop has contacted Rumdini Rahayu, a Sundanese woman who is married to a man from Nigeria, West Africa. Rahayu now lives in Nigeria with her husband, Kiel. He told of his daily activities living in another country.

“I carry out activities as a housewife and occasionally create content for my social media. Such as Youtube, Snack videos and others,” said Rahayu to Wolipop via Email.
The woman who is familiarly called Ayu began to reveal the beginning of her introduction with Kiel. They got to know each other for the first time in 2018.
“Honestly we used to be just friends and there wasn’t such a thing as shoot-and-shoot like most couples do it no,” said Ayu.
“It’s just that I know where he wants to take the friendship, I said, ‘if you want closewastefulno want to play, My to your family, ‘Well, it’s true that I was taken to Nigeria before we got married, maybe it could be called a hoax,’ he recalled.

When she first started her relationship with Kiel, Ayu did not deny that there were obstacles. One of them is a matter of language and daily habits.
“Language and customs for sure. Merging the two heads isn’t easy. But yeah we do itif there is something that makes us ngno our comfort chat together,” said the woman with long hair.
Apart from language and habits, Ayu’s parents also had doubts about Kiel because of the man’s country of origin. Ayu also tried to explain to her parents.
“Because there is a lot of criminal news about the husband’s country in Indonesia, of course it is clear that my family will also think badly of him,” Ayu continued.

Ayu looks for a way out and tries to show Kiel’s personality to her family. Besides that, Ayu also revealed what Kiel’s activities were during college
“The way to deal with this is first to continue to give understanding to the family. If it’s not enough to talk or talk, find out what the problem is or why they don’t agree. It means show him what his daily life is, we used to be in Turkey, so show him what he’s doing in Turkey, I’ll show it to his family me when we were on campus,” he continued.
After obtaining the blessing of the family, Kiel and Ayu went up the aisle on February 10, 2019. Their wedding reception was held in Indonesia carrying Sundanese customs with white nuances.
One year later, happy news came to Kiel and Ayu in December 2020. Ayu was declared pregnant with her first baby. Then Ayu gave birth to a baby girl named Ehizogie, in June 2021.

Ayu, who consistently makes videos on Youtube, makes her family in the spotlight of netizens and viral on social media. “It must have been a shock, how come it went viral and the first time I found out it was told in a family group and there were several Instagram followers sending DMs that the news of me marrying a Nigerian was everywhere,” he explained.
Ayu also admitted that she often gets questions from netizens about tips on how to get married to foreign nationals (WNA). He also gives detailed and firm answers so you don’t choose the wrong partner.
“Know who he is first, find out where they came from before getting married. Remember, it’s not easy to marry an Indonesian citizen who has a different head. Especially with foreigners whose languages, customs and habits are different. There must be a lot of challenges. When you get married, you will no longer be 100% surprised, if later there are habits that you just know,” he concluded.
