Viral General TNI Letters Police Chief, Asks Babinsa not to be summoned to the Resort Police

The Inspector of Military Command (Irdam) XIII/Merdeka, Brigadier General Junior Tumilaar, wrote a handwritten letter addressed to Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The letter went viral on social media.

In the letter, the TNI general asked the National Police Chief not to call the Village Development Officer (Babinsa) to the police station for questioning.

Initially, he revealed that Babinsa only sided with the people, Ari Tahiru (67) who was dealing with land conflicts in North Sulawesi (ignite).

The Junior Brigadier General’s handwritten letter with a copy Commander of the Armed Forces TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Andika Perkasa, and Commander of the Free Military Command TNI Major General Wanti Waranei Franky Mamahit, lawyer Ari Tahiru, and member of Commission III DPR RI F-NasDem Hillary Brigitta Lasut.

In his letter, Brigadier General Junior said Babinsa was part of the state defense system on land. He said the Babinsas were taught to overcome the difficulties of the people around them.

Then, he said Ari Tahiru had been detained for about 15 days because of a land dispute with a housing management company. Ari then asked Babinsa for help.

He said Babinsa was then summoned to the Manado Police. He also highlighted the issue of the North Sulawesi Police Mobile Brigade that came to Babinsa while on duty on Edwin Lomban’s land. He also said that Brimob was summoned to the Manado Police.
