The Fiorentina Beppe Iachini, after the disappointing draw against Brescia, takes the field at the Olimpico in Rome to face Lazio in a beautiful and well-played game, which however saw her come out with 0 points. However, it is not the result that leaves a bad taste in the Viola’s mouth, but the way in which the most highly rated Biancocelesti have achieved success. An almost invented penalty, arrived after a missed solar red card, prevented the purple team from leaving with at least one point from the capital, making all those arbitral controversies that the Var should have canceled, but that only heightened.
MAGO RIBERY – The positive protagonist in the Fiorentina home was again Franck Ribery, true driver of his and author of a goal as a true championand, having easily skipped all the defense of Lazio and stuck Strakosha on his pole. The whole Viola, however, played an excellent race, made of determination, pressing and restarting, with the team of Iachini who on several occasions wasted the 0-2 ball, also hitting a sensational crossbar with Ghezzal, inserted surprisingly among the owners and author of a very positive test. Iachini, however, was not impeccable once again in managing the exchange rates, leaving his side exposed to the attacks of the biancocelesti at the end of the race. Macchia in the Viola match was certainly the performance of Dusan Vlahovic, who remedied a red card after a really naive nudge.
CAICEDO – The painful notes, which completely changed the inertia of the race, were however two. The first one is the lack of a red card in Bastos, author of a really bad foul against Ghezzal, that referee Fabbri has decided to penalize with a yellow card. The decision that really changed the race was the concession of the penalty to the Biancocelesti, for an alleged touch in the area by Dragowski on Caicedo. The real problem is this touch remains presumed, because the Polish goalkeeper does not even mention the intervention, with the South American striker doing everything to find the leg of the number 69 purple. On such a clear occasion, however, the Var decided not to intervene, granting the maximum punishment to Immobile, who did not forgive from the spot. One wonders what the Var is used for on these occasions, when with a clear error by the referee, he did not consider it right to intervene to correct a wrong decision, paving the way for Lazio for the victory.
