Vigilante was injured in attempted robbery in Usaquén – Bogotá

Moments of panic were experienced this Friday afternoon in the vicinity of 122nd street with 19th avenue, in the north of Bogotá. A man arriving at a residential building in this area was attacked by a criminal group.

Security camera images show how this person was being followed by another vehicle, and a motorcycle, who also entered the residential building. A security guard of the group found out what was happening, reacted and attacked the criminal, unleashing a crossfire.

The vigilante was wounded, and the criminal fled. In his escape, men from the Bogotá Metropolitan Police managed to intercept and capture him. He had a gun, a bulletproof vest, and $ 262 million in cash. The authorities inquire about the origin of that money, since the victim of the assault stated that they did not steal money.

Of the person who was the victim of the attack, but who escaped unharmed, it is known that he is about 40 years old, who had just arrived from Pereira, and claimed to be a merchant. This man is being questioned.
