Vigilante justice and bounty have no place in a constitutional state

The Tsolakidis couple’s pizzeria Dallas has been terrorized for years. They vehemently reject a bounty that was offered by right-wing extremists from Remscheid with a call for vigilante justice. Screenshot from Die Woche – KW06 / 2021 by rs1.tv

“Unfortunately, the ongoing attacks on the Tsolakidis who run Pizzeria Dallas are still ongoing. I am shocked, however, that in addition to the police investigations, certain undemocratic voices are now calling for vigilante justice and even placing a bounty on the perpetrator, ”reports Sven Wolf, Member of the Landtag for Remscheid and Radevormwald. “That is of course completely unacceptable.”

“After the first press reports in January, I contacted the police chief directly and inquired about the current status of the investigation. I also made contact between the victims and the White Ring. I haven’t gone public yet, ”said Wolf.

“After the latest developments, it is important to take a stand. I am very pleased that the victims speak out clearly against vigilante justice and bounty. We live in a constitutional state. The monopoly of force rests with our democratic police force and nowhere else. I trust that the police, together with the victims, will now do everything possible to convict the perpetrators. Then the Tsolakidis can hopefully finally feel safe again! “
