Truong My Lan, 67, chairman of Van Thinh Phat Group, was arrested in 2022. The Vietnamese businesswoman faces several charges, including bribing government officials and violating bank lending rules. According to investigators, she embezzled funds from the Saigon Commercial Bank between February 2018 and October 2022.
