The Vietnam national team received an ultimatum from FIFA and the AFC regarding their readiness to compete in the third round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifications.

SUPERBALL.ID – World Football Federation (FIFA) issued an ultimatum to Vietnam National Team ahead of the third round 2022 World Cup Qualification.
Vietnam National Team became the only representative of Southeast Asia (ASEAN) to qualify for the third round 2022 World Cup Qualification Asia area.
Vietnam qualify after as runner-up Group G of the second qualifying round last, which was also occupied by Indonesian National team.
In the third round, Vietnam will compete with the 12 best Asian countries to compete for tickets to the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
The draw puts Vietnam in Group B along with Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, China and Oman.
The schedule for the third round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian zone will be held from September 2, 2021 to March 29, 2022.
Vietnam will play the first match of the third round of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers against Saudi Arabia on September 2.
Meanwhile, the first home match of the Golden Star Warriors is scheduled to be held at My Dinh Stadium, Vietnam, 7 September 2021.
