Vietnam defines three pillars to transform its education | Company

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training has defined three pillars as transformation of the administration system, creation of an enabling environment and digitalization, with a view to transforming education.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Nguyên Van Phuc, made this statement during a consultation symposium on the transformation of education.

This event is focused on the Education Transformation Summit (TES) scheduled for next September.

The Summit aims to mobilize political commitments, actions, solutions and solidarity to transform theeducation. In addition, it is to take stock of efforts to recover learning losses related to the pandemic; reinvent education systems for the world of today and tomorrow; and revitalize national and global efforts to achieve SDG-4 (Ensure equal access to quality education for all and promote lifelong learning opportunities).

To carry out the transformation of education, Nguyên Van Phuc emphasized the cooperation and commitment of ministries, agencies, public-private partnership (PPP) between stakeholders, schools, businesses , communities and society to build collaborative models towards the transformation of education for the development of the country.

According to Pauline Tamesis, permanent coordinator of the UN in Vietnam, in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in education, Vietnam must prioritize solving problems centered on unequal access to education. education, digital gap, gender inequality, lack of funding for education and other specific needs of each group of children/adolescents.

Christian Manhart, UNESCO Representative in Vietnam, said the consultation comes at a critically important time as Vietnam reaffirms its approaches to achieving SDG-4.

During this symposium, the participants discussed the themes: ensuring a full recovery, after the disruptions of the education systems linked to the COVID-19 pandemic; identify key strategic transitions and levers to rebuild education for the 21st century and accelerate progress towards shared educational goals; ensure that public funding for education is improved and more sustainable; driving ambition of national education goals and standards towards SDG-4. -VNA
