The chairman of the Association of Indigenous Village Heads in Suriname (VIDS) Theo Jubitana died today from the consequences of the corona virus. In addition to being VIDS chairman, Jubitana was also captain of the Indigenous Dutch Camp.
Theodoris Bernardus (Theo) Jubitana has been captain of Hollandse Kamp since 2011 and chairman of VIDS since 2017. In 2019 he became chairman of the Amazone Party Suriname.
