Now we know more details of the Xbox Series S, the “cheap” version of Microsoft’s powerful Series X. The new information is related to the technical specifications of the console.
According to Tweak Town and The Verge editor Tom Warren, the Xbox Series S It has the same processor as the X Series, an 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU, capable of running at 3.8 GHz. The RAM will be GDDR6 and will include a PCIe 4.0 SSD storage disk. It is not clear that the Series S version offers native 4K.
The Xbox Series S it will have just half the computational units with 20 CUs versus 52 CUs clocked at 1.55 GHz versus 1.825 GHz. Added to this is less RAM (10GB versus 16GB for Series X).
