VIDEO. United States: view from the sky, the city of Greenville reduced to ashes by Dixie Fire

Greenville reduced to ashes. Aerial footage taken by AFP shows the scars of the fire dubbed Dixie Fire in the small Californian town, nearly two months after the blaze ravaged the region. Buildings are in ruins, cars are burnt and trees are charred.

The fire that started on July 13th covered more than 3,750 km2. It still remains active. It is fast becoming the biggest fire in the history of the state. Eight of the ten biggest forest fires on record in California have occurred since 2017 and six since 2020.
