Baiba believes that it was a great success that she managed to meet the director and producer Ēķe, because sometimes in her life it happens that a talented person just is not at the right time and place.
Sipeniece-Gavare remembers that for some time she had “met” Erika Loka and “Zvaigznīšu moment” and Ēriks said that such Andrejs Ēķis was a director who was filming his first film on film and needed a woman for a role. Baiba laughs that she had never heard of such a director before, but she really wanted to film the film.
In the end, it turned out that a woman had to jump out of a moving car. “Andrejs tells me – we only have one double, because the film is expensive, so you will have to jump out nicely,” Baiba remembers and laughs that in the end she did not jump out, but pushed her out.
“If you ask me how it was – painful, of course painful! The stuntman didn’t do it, but I did. But I didn’t squeak. And that’s why I liked Andrei, “she recalls.
“Andrejs came to me at the premiere of the film and said that I would have television. I’m still thinking – what kind of TV do you have, a jacket with frizzy hair? But he was so determined that he would invite me to work for myself. And really, after a while I see that there is such a “Picca TV” and it really belongs to Andrejs Ēkis! ” – says Sipeniece.
After a while, Andrejs visited Baiba and really invited him to work for himself.
