Video | Three days of migration crisis in Ceuta | Spain

Between the early hours of Monday and the afternoon of Wednesday, about 9,000 people entered Ceuta due to the passivity of the Moroccan gendarmes. The migrants crossed the border on foot, by swimming or by boat, to meet the deployment of the Spanish Army and police forces, and to be returned, for the most part (5,600 people), to Morocco. These three days have left images such as that of the Civil Guard diver who rescued a baby in the sea or that of Luna, the young Red Cross volunteer who hugged a sub-Saharan immigrant before she was forced to return to the African country . Those returns have also left numerous scenes of tension, which contrast with the calm that prevailed on Thursday morning, when the situation seemed to be under control on the Spanish side. In this video we collect those and other moments lived this week in Ceuta.
