Comparing the beginnings of go-karting with modern sports, Vladislav Schlegelmilh believes that the difference is like day to night. Hugo Jurševskis, who raised the karting bar at the international level during the Soviet era, believes that karting is still moving forward today, but the competition is not so great anymore.
