The 24-year-old short track star previously won silver in the 500 meters and she extended her Olympic title in the 1000 meters. Schulting can also take a medal in the 1500 meters later in the week. Four years ago in Pyeongchang, the Dutch short track riders took bronze in the relay.

sport">Schulting, Van Kerkhof, Poutsma and Velzeboer stepped onto the podium hand in hand. They hung together the gold medals presented to them by IOC member Ng Ser Miang from Singapore.
