Video: man flew over with a skateboard in the heart of New York – People – Culture

A curious video, in which a man is flying with a skateboard around ‘Times Square’, in New York (United States), has gone viral in the last hours.

Some users have linked the feat to a scene from the ‘Green Goblin’, who is the villain of ‘Spider-Man’, because in the film he also appears flying over the ‘Big Apple’.

The video was initially released by an Instagram user named Morgan Nevins, and little by little it has become viral on different social networks.

According to the local magazine ‘Newsweek’, the clip was recorded around five in the morning on Saturday, June 19.

In the images, several people are seen recording the unusual moment with their cell phones, despite the fact that it happened in the early hours of the morning.

“When it landed close to us, I could feel the wind current from the propellers, almost like a helicopter. My friends and I had a lot of questions about how this could be legal or how it worked. “Nevins told the aforementioned outlet.

Although at first it was not certain who the man behind the video was, it was later revealed that he was the digital creator Hunter Kowald.

Kowald is the founder of ‘SkySurfer Hoverboard Aircrafts’, a company that “Designed, developed and tested the flight of the most efficient and powerful personal hoverboard aircraft in the world, capable of carrying 500 pounds while standing on top”, as reported by his account on Linkedln.

This creator has become famous for going to common places in the city of The Angels, California, and surprise citizens by flying over the street.

Several netizens have wondered if Kowald can get a traffic ticket for his show in New York.

Although there are no specific rules for ‘flying skateboards’ yet, the administrative code of the city affirms that it is “Illegal for any person to navigate, take off or land on an aircraft” anywhere other than the landing zones designated by the department of transportation.
