The exhibition “The mysterious cities of gold“retraces the work that allowed the adventure to continue with two additional seasons. Episodes produced in Angoulême by Blue Spirit studyfrom 2012 to 2022. Nearly 150 people worked on the production each season
To make this kind of program, it takes a lot of people to work on the animation, the sound, the voices with the actors. It is always a very big team.

The exhibition thus details the creative process of each episode. The tables show all the stages of the production of the cartoon with photos, diagrams, sketches and drawings.
If Esteban and his friends are present, another emblematic element of this series is found above one of the rooms, the condor, a futuristic vehicle that travels through these fantastic cities veined with references to history. A mix of genres that marked the series and its success.
The exhibition is free. It can be seen in the Magelis cellars until December 31, 2022. It also marks the launch of the first animation festival in Angoulême.
