It was a loud reception that around 20 protesters prepared for Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Salzburg’s old town. The program included a conversation with Wilfried Haslauer and a visit to two companies that have been able to reopen since Wednesday – a cinema and a beer garden.
When Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz visited Salzburg on Friday afternoon, a conversation with the Salzburg governor was on the agenda. Among other things, it was about the registration obligation anchored in the entry regulations of the federal government before crossing the border to Austria. Haslauer emphasized his demand for an end to this registration requirement. “This unilateral regulation leads to traffic jams and an enormous effort for the executive”, Haslauer justified the demand of the states for a change.
