It has been ten years since François Abel, originally from Goetzenbruck, in the Pays de Bitche, in Moselle-Est, gave up his profession as a graphic designer in advertising to become a full-time comic book illustrator. An opus takes him between 6 and 7 months of work. He has sketched the Moselle, Strasbourg, Metz cathedral, on the occasion of his 800th birthday, tennis, basketball, Platt (the Francique Lorraine) … François Abel works with Charly Damm, another figure of the territory , on two new albums, on the stories of Meurthe-et-Moselle and Thionville. Confinement, he lives it rather well, because to create, he isolates himself in his workshop at home. He therefore does not suffer this withdrawal from social life. He only goes out to discuss work with colleagues. Its only lack: the public, the readers, especially through exhibitions and dedications.
