Tesla electric cars have long been on the list of the fastest cars in the world. The recent Model S Plaid record at the Nürburgring has once again demonstrated the superb dynamic capabilities of electric vehicles – machines with a low center of mass, lightning-fast acceleration and efficient braking.
The “young” crossover of Tesla can not boast of such a record, but it also has something to show.
The TopSpeedGermany YouTube channel is entirely dedicated to car dynamics and contains similar videos of various cars accelerating on the German motorway, where there are no speed limits.

Although the videos are almost the same, each new one is just as interesting to watch as the previous one, and the intrigue lies in whether the car will reach its maximum speed stated in the specifications. Let’s see how the compact crossover Tesla Model Y did.
Tesla says that the top speed is 241 km / h and acceleration to 100 km / h is 3.7 seconds. In the real world, the Model Y performed well, but the driver never managed to reach top speed.
The driver makes several attempts to reach the maximum speed of the sections of the highway without restrictions, but the best result is 222 km / h.
