The controversy in Linz ice hockey is currently making waves. Now that the Black Wings are also likely to lose their home, President Peter Freunschlag criticizes his former vice presidents.
In the twelfth episode of the Sky video podcast, the club president expresses his lack of understanding of the current criticism: “My ex-vice-presidents never wanted to be held liable and for 14 years they have given me the last word. I ran the club and the vice presidents did nothing. For me, you are fair weather vice presidents who go to the games and drink a roller coaster.”
Freunschlag does not like the fact that former officials put many of his statements in a bad light: “SThey didn’t care about the club, they don’t know what’s really going on and now they want to say in opposition that I’m doing something wrong and they know better. ”

Not only the question of the venue, but also a placement as “Black Wings new” could cause further problems in Linz. Accordingly, the club name could not simply be transferred to a new club: “If you get an agreement, I can give them the brand, if there isn’t, they won’t get it. Without an agreement, no brand, then it simply won’t exist afterwards. ”
