There were 255 tons of fertilizer for 1,160 agricultural producers from 37 towns in the municipality.
Pátzcuaro, Mich., February 25, 2021.- This morning, the municipal president, Víctor Báez Ceja delivered as part of the “Municipalized Fertilization” program 255 tons of fertilizer for 1,160 agricultural producers from 37 towns in the municipality, thereby reaffirming the current administration’s commitment to producers from the field.
During the formal event, he explained that 255 tons of fertilizers such as Urea, Ammonium Sulfate and 18/46 are delivered, benefiting 1,160 producers with a total of 2,646 hectares covered and 37 locations.
He added that the municipal government is investing the amount of one million 187 thousand pesos that corresponds to 50 percent of the cost of these inputs and on the part of the producers they are contributing a similar amount.
He assured that during his administration the field has always been a priority, “for that reason and despite the budget cuts we have suffered, we continue to make a great effort to continue with this and other support to the agricultural and livestock sector of the municipality, since they are important piece in the economy of the region ”.
Finally, he informed that through the Municipal Rural Development Directorate, the different support programs that have been applied in the municipality will continue, such as: Backyard Gardens, Subsidized Materials, Agricultural Tools and Machinery, among others.
