In addition, it was announced that the time band Choose Living Healthy will run from 06:00 to 09:00 hours only during weekends and holidays. For the rest of the week, it remains between 07:00 and 08:30 hours.

Vaccination campaign

Minister Paris stressed that yesterday, Sunday, the country received two million doses of vaccine against COVID-19, from China, which were received by the health authorities, in the company of the embassy of that country and the Chilean Foreign Ministry . With this amount, Chile already has 11,971,476 doses of Sinovac, and 1,096,875 from the Pfizer-BioNTech laboratory.

Until 12 noon this Thursday, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose amounts to 5,642,004, of which 2,834,125 correspond to people over 60 years of age.

COVID-19 report

The Undersecretary of Assistance Networks, Alberto Dougnac, reported that in the last 24 hours 6,155 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered, of which 4,142 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,547 do not present symptoms.

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country reaches 938,094. Of this total, 38,024 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 877,189.

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, there were 80 deaths from causes associated with COVID-19. The total number of deaths is 22,359 in the country.

To date, 2,269 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 1,973 are on mechanical ventilation support.

In relation to the Integrated Health Network, we can report that there is a total of 177 critical beds available.

Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 75,880 PCR tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 10,644,892 analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 7.92% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 7%.
