Until now, Chernyshova has been referred to as Jane Doe 1. Chernyshova says: “I did it because I was ashamed and felt humiliated. I thought it was a good decision to protect my children. But it was a terrible decision for myself because I am cut off from everyone. It is not good to go through this hell alone.”
In 2020, Weinstein was already sentenced to 23 years in prison for sex crimes. The once successful Hollywood producer will have to serve the sixteen years after the sentence that a judge in New York imposed on him three years ago.
