Mongolians who were handed over to trial for killing a person of the same nationality on the street were sentenced to probation from imprisonment at the first trial.

Section 30 of the Criminal Agreement of the Seoul Central District Court (President Judge Lee Hyun-woo) was charged with three years in prison, four years in prison, and three in two years in prison against Mongolians A (22) and B (21), who were charged with injuries and fatalities. It was announced on the 23rd that it had been sentenced to years.

Mr. A and Mr. B were charged with attacking Mr. C, a Mongolian who first met on a street in Jung-gu, Seoul, several times last July and killed him.

A and B tried to ask for the phone number of a woman passing by while drinking at a table in front of a convenience store.

Mr. C, who was around, saw this and said, “Can you get her phone number?”

Despite the restraints around them, the two hit the face several times and fell to the floor while chasing Mr. C. C, who was unconscious due to continued assault, was taken to the hospital, but died three days later.

Mr. B claimed to have been intoxicated with alcohol at the time of the crime, and insisted that he was intoxicated with alcohol.

The judge pointed out that “Mr. A assaulted the same Mongolian victim while staying illegally, inflicted injuries and eventually killed him.”

However, △ acknowledging and reflecting on the crime, △ first being assaulted by Mr. C, falling over, and then committing the crime by excitement, △ appearing to have been arrested on the way to surrender to the police station, etc., as favorable sentencing factors.

Regarding Mr. B, he said, “We consistently try to evade responsibility and pass the blame to the accomplice by stating that we can’t remember because of drinking alcohol.” It doesn’t seem to be serious,” he judged.

In particular, the court took into account the fact that the defendants reached an agreement with the victim’s bereaved family members, and that the bereaved family members did not want the accused to be punished as a favorable sentence. The age of 20 was also considered as an extenuating reason.
