The German Athletics Championships for U18s and U20s in Ulm were very successful for the starters from VfL Wolfsburg. Tobias Morawietz and Nele Jaworski won three medals together in the U20.
Ulm. “These were absolutely top performances,” coach Johannes Breitenstein summarized the results of the sprint talents from VfL Wolfsburg at the German Athletics Championships for U18s and U20s in Ulm at the weekend. Tobias Morawietz and Nele Jaworski won three medals together in the U20.
The most successful Wolfsburg was Morawietz. Over the 100 meters he secured a respectable third place in the final in 10.47 seconds. It was his first medal ever over this distance. The 200 meters suit him much better, there the 19-year-old even took second place in the final in 21.23 seconds. 17-year-old Jaworski finished fifth in the 100-meter final. “The competition there was extremely strong, for Nele it was a top performance,” said Breitenstein. She was even more successful over the 200 meters, 23.72 seconds meant second place in the final.
