Argentine Football Association president Claudio Tapia confirmed Monday that they are considering implementing a new landing mechanism in the coming years.
Tapia said that they are seeking to cancel the decline for two seasons, with the number of emerging teams increasing in the first place, due to the economic crisis caused by the outbreak of the Corona virus emerging in the world.
“The rising teams will be decided on the pitch, but we cannot now set a date for the return, because the decision is not in our hands,” Tapia told TNT Sports.

And Abizaid: “The Federation Council will decide the issue of canceling the decline in 2021, but with controls, until things return to normal in 2022.”
Tapia explained that the decision has already been taken and will be subject to a vote on Tuesday.
The senior official in charge of the game in the Latin country believes that the lack of clubs will help reduce the effects of the economic crisis resulting from the spread of the Covid 19 epidemic.
He also stressed that the identification of emerging and qualified teams for the continental championships, will be determined on the field: “When health conditions allow this.”
Tapia stressed that the local championships in Argentina were suspended by a decision of the Ministry of Health, and the federation “fully respected health measures.”
He concluded: “Everyone wants the return of football because we need the return of the football industry. The crisis is not limited to our country, but it is a global crisis.”
