On Saturday, the court arrested the acting. Deputy Head of Khakassia Sergei Novikov and placed him in custody until June 16 this year. As told RIA News in the Abakan city court, the official is suspected of receiving a particularly large bribe – 12 million rubles.
According to the staff of the Investigative Committee, Novikov wanted to get money for “escorting” the contract for the construction of the second stage of the residential building of the Tuim neuropsychiatric boarding school. The building was to be erected as part of the national project.
The cost of work “Management of capital construction” of Khakassia and the construction contractor determined more than 480 million rubles.
Novikov was detained on April 17, 2020 while receiving a bribe from a contractor representative in the amount of 2 million rubles.
