THE VERY PRESENT MEMORY OF HIS DECEASED MOTHER

In September 2006, the famous interpreter of “Amoureux”, had the misfortune of losing Colette, her adored mother, who was a lawyer by profession.

Being his daughter, the singer was obviously very affected by this disappearance. But the most surprising thing is that she continues to call him by phone, more than 14 years after his death.

Questioned by Michel Denisot, she nevertheless agreed to explain himself on this subject :

“It is true that I still call her, although she does not answer me (…) I pick up my phone, I call her and I say to myself ‘Oh no flute! She is dead’.”

All this only testifies to the immense affection that the artist feels for the one who gave him life. Moreover for the singer, her late mother is a model and not just any.

“The extraordinary image of an extraordinary woman”, it is in these terms that the septuagenarian describes her adored mother.

Suffice to say that it is extremely rare to find a person who has such a degree of attachment to a disappeared being, and this, several years after his disappearance.

The fact of evoking memories still passes, but it must be admitted that the fact of calling a deceased on the phone is somewhat out of the ordinary.

That said, everyone grieve in their own way. And then, the main thing is that she feels more comfortable that way.

SHE HAD ALSO DEDICATED A SONG

It is quite common to see artists dedicate songs to loved ones. This is precisely what Véronique Sanson did with her mother.

In 2016, when she released her 16th album entitled: “Digne, crazy, therefore…”, her fans had the leisure to discover the song “And I call him again”, referring of course to her deceased mother.

Besides, the lyrics of the song were very explicit :

“I didn’t think I could do it without calling my mom first and I’m calling her again.”

Already at the time, Véronique Sanson had clearly made it clear that her mother held a very important place in her life, despite the fact that she was no longer in this world.

Besides, she is very disappointed that her mother has not kept the promise she made to her. Always on the tone of humor, the singer explained that she would have liked her mother’s wish to come true, namely to come and tickle her feet every night after her death. Obviously, this never happened.

The least we can say is that this situation is atypical, but she is completely free to choose the practices and rituals that she wants when she wants to remember her mother.

THROAT CANCER

Getting through the hard knocks of life is everyone’s lot. For her part, Véronique Sanson has already gone through a lot of hardships; In addition to the death of her mother, she also suffered from throat cancer. If she succeeded in combating this evil, she delivered a most touching testimony on this difficult period of his life.
