Ventura Vivoni will be the guest chef of the Puerto Rican Parade Gala in New York

The celebrated Puerto Rican chef, Ventura Vivoni, will be the guest chef for the 64th anniversary of the Puerto Rican National Parade Gala in New York. The charity gala will be held virtually on Thursday, June 3, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. in order to raise funds for the scholarship program for exceptional high school and college students of Puerto Rican descent.

The virtual event will have a special program that includes a cooking demonstration, where participants will learn to make step by step the famous recipe of chef Vivoni, rice chulería. People who purchased tickets for the virtual gala will receive a kit – from Brands of Puerto Rico – of food that includes the ingredients to prepare the dish with products from Puerto Rico such as the Chulería en Pote adobo and the Despierta Boricua 100% coffee from Adjuntas de Chef Vivoni’s line of products, as well as Montero species, among other local brands.

Chef Ventura Vivoni has delighted his audience with a culinary offer framed in the traditional flavors of the island, emphasizing the use of fresh products from the country. Similarly, the young chef has developed a line of 100% natural products such as the Chulería en Pote marinade, among other varieties of products, managing to fill that space where people look for local, healthy and at the same time unique products.

“Since I started in the gastronomy industry, I have always longed to participate in the Puerto Rican Parade and represent my island by bringing my distinctive fusion of Caribbean flavors with the special touch of Chulería. This year, although in a different (virtual) way, I have that opportunity to share my passion for Creole food with hundreds of people and even more for a good cause ”, expressed chef Vivoni.

The Puerto Rican Parade that was traditionally held on Fifth Avenue in New York City and which had a participation of over a million spectators, will be held virtually due to security measures due to the coronavirus pandemic. The special program will air live on Sunday, June 13 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. m. on ABC, Channel 7 in New York and on the station’s website abc7ny.com. Similarly, chef Vivoni will participate in the live programming with a Puerto Rican cooking demonstration.
