Venezuelan Pitcher Germán Márquez Enters Disabled List with Forearm Strain

Deportes.- The Venezuelan pitcher Germán Márquez, of the Colorado Rockies, will enter the disabled list for 15 days after a strain in his right forearm without structural damage, as announced by the player himself after obtaining the results of the MRI this Wednesday.

“Nothing bad, just inflammation,” Márquez said. “They are going to give me a little time to rest,” said the Creole.

Márquez had to be taken out of the game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday after pitching for five innings. The Venezuelan scored the victory in this match. Currently, the pitcher leaves his record in two games won and one setback, with a 4.41 ERA.

The Rockies will need to fill the void left momentarily by the Venezuelan, as they face 13 straight games, starting this Friday.

After the results, the team manager also indicated that despite everything, the analyzes are “positive”.

“That reassures Germán and us. Our medical staff knew that this could be the result. It’s positive,” the team spokesperson said.
