The Paris team concluded an agreement with Enrique for two years.
The 52-year-old specialist has been out of work since last December, when he was released from the position of head coach of the Spanish national team, which he held from July 2018 (with a break in autumn 2019).
Under his leadership, the Spaniards reached the semi-finals of the 2020 European Championship and the final of the 2021 UEFA Nations League.
During his coaching career, Enrique also managed the domestic giants “Barcelona”, “Celta Vigo” and the Italian Serie A club “AS Roma”.
During his playing career, the former midfielder represented Sporting Gijon, Real Madrid and Barcelona, but in the Spanish national team between 1991 and 2002, Enrique played 62 games and scored 12 goals.
PSG was previously managed by Christophe Gaultier, who became PSG’s head coach before the start of last season.
