Vegetable Transport Trucks Netted Raids at Cikarang Toll Road, It Turns Out That It Contains 7 Homecomers

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya took action on a truck carrying vegetables which was also filled with a number of travelers.

The truck was caught in a raid when the police held an insulation, precisely at kilometer 31 of the Cikarang Toll Road towards Cikampek, on Thursday (6/5/2021) in the early hours of the morning.

The photo while trawling the vegetable truck carrying the travelers was also uploaded by @tmcpoldametro, a few hours ago.

Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director, Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yogo confirmed that his members had taken action against a truck loaded with vegetables carrying travelers.

“Yes, it’s a vegetable truck that is used to transport travelers,” Sambodo said when he was confirmed, Thursday.

A total of seven travelers traveled from Bekasi to Garut, West Java.

It is known, the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya closed the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Flyover Road due to the rules on the prohibition of going home from 6-17 May 2021.

Sambodo said the road closure from the direction of Jakarta to Cikampek took place on Thursday (6/5/2021) in the morning.

“Starting at 24.00 WIB tonight, the Jakarta-Cikampek Flyover will be closed, from the direction of Jakarta to Cikampek,” said Sambodo.

The closure of the Japek Toll Road Flyover was carried out from three directions, namely the Cikunir, Tanjung Priok, and Kilometer 10 Inner City Toll Roads.

The road will be reopened one day after isolating the travelers or right on Friday (7/5/2021) in the morning.

“Starting at 24.00 WIB, we will start examining and blocking people who are going to go home,” said Sambodo.

The police had previously prepared 31 security post points consisting of 17 check points and 14 isolation locations.

There are 1,313 personnel who will be deployed at the check point and insulation in anticipation of Lebaran 2021 travelers.

Officers on duty at 17 checkpoints will enforce health protocols and initial filtering of travelers’ vehicles.

Meanwhile, officers on guard at 14 isolation points will enforce health protocols, check entry and exit permits (SIKM), and overturn vehicles of travelers who are desperate to go home.
