“Ventspils” basketball team has supplemented the composition with Latvian defender Kristaps Mediss, the club informs.
31-year-old Mediss will move to Ventspils from the VEF Rīga team, where he spent the previous season.

As a member of the Rigans, he participated in 26 Latvian-Estonian Basketball League games, in which he scored an average of 3.2 points, won 2.1 rebounds and made 0.9 assists, spending an average of 17 minutes on the field. In the FIBA Champions League, Aluksne participated in 12 matches, in which he scored 3.3 points on average in 14 minutes, won 1.8 balls under the baskets and made 0.5 assists.
In the highest division of the Latvian Championship, the defender made his debut in 2008 as a member of the ASK Rīga team. In the 2010/2011 season, Mediss became the Latvian champion, helping to become the first national champion in the VEF Rīga team.
